We offer Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT) to lower intraocular pressure. This procedure works on opening up the drainage structure in the eye via a laser. It is minimally invasive, done in an exam room in our office, and only takes about 15 minutes. This procedure can decrease the amount of medicated eye drops needed to control a person’s glaucoma.

We offer iStent placement at the time of cataract surgery for patient’s with mild to moderate primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG). This implantable device allows for a more efficient drainage of the fluid out of the eye. This lowers intraocular pressure and can reduce the amount of medicated eye drops needed to control a person’s glaucoma.

We offer Durysta placement in office. This is an intraocular implant that is dissolvable and it provides slow-release of a glaucoma medication used to lower intraocular pressure. It is placed in the anterior portion of the eye in office with a small injectable delivery device. This procedure can decrease the amount of medicated eye drops needed to control a person’s glaucoma.

We offer YAG Peripheral Iridotomy for patient’s with narrow angles, chronic angle closure glaucoma or acute angle closure. This procedure is done with a YAG laser in office which is minimally invasive and takes about 15 minutes. The purpose of this procedure is to create an alternate drainage pathway for the fluid in the anterior segment of the eye because the patient’s natural drainage structure is too small or obstructed. This procedure can decrease a person’s risk of having angle closure and developing glaucoma. It can also alleviate acute angle closure.
