Dr. Arnio was raised in Moosup, Connecticut. She attended MCPHS University in Boston where she received her Bachelor of Science in Premedical and Health Studies. She went on to receive her Doctorate of Optometry (OD) at MCPHS University’s School of Optometry in Worcester, Massachusetts in 2017. She continued her education after graduating by completing a residency in ocular disease and primary care at the VA Maine Healthcare System. Dr. Arnio enjoys providing primary eye care with special interest in contact lenses and management of ocular disease. She resides in Hallowell with her husband Andrew and their four legged family which includes their dog Moxie, cats Bowie and Charlie and their beloved pig Piper!

Dr. Janes comes to us from Newfoundland and Labrador Canada where she completed her undergraduate degree at Memorial University of Newfoundland, earning a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biology and Biochemistry. She then completed her Doctorate of Optometry (OD) at MCPHS University in Worcester Massachusetts in 2016 followed by a post-doctoral residency in specializing in Ocular Disease and Ocular and Refractive Surgery in Norfolk Virginia. Her interest lies in ocular disease management and she works very closely with our ophthalmologists to help co-manage patients in our office. She also provides primary care optometry including soft contact lens fittings and dry eye treatments. Dr. Janes resides with her husband Nick in Oakland and they enjoy watching football on Sundays, eating great food and exploring Maine together with their dog Pinot!
Linda Schumacher-Feero, MD

Dr Schumacher-Feero was raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania, she attended medical school at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr Feero also completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. After a volunteer experience at the Gallup Indian Medical Center in New Mexico, Dr. Feero joined Atlee Gleaton Eye Care in 1999. Dr. Feero has served as teaching faculty at the Togus and Washington, DC Veterans Administration Medical Centers. She is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Feero lives with her family in Waterville. She has special interests in cataract surgery and the treatment of dry eyes. Dr. Feero is a volunteer for EyeCare America through the Foundation of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Maroulla Gleaton, MD

Dr Gleaton joined the practice with Dr Atlee in 1988. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She received her medical degree at the Temple University School of Medicine. Her residency training in Ophthalmology was completed at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Gleaton is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Gleaton served as the President of the Maine Medical Asoociation in 2003 and has served on the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine since 2008. She resides in Palermo. Dr. Gleaton’s practice focuses on the surgical treatment of cataracts, the treatment of macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease, and oculoplastic surgical procedures.
Xinlei Kang, OD

Originally from Singapore, Dr. Kang has more than 7 years of experience in primary eye care there prior to moving to the United States. Furthering his education in the US, Dr. Kang completed his Doctorate of Optometry (OD) at Salus University in Pennsylvania with honors in ocular disease, low vision, and pediatrics. He treats patients of all ages, specializing in contact lenses, myopia control, glaucoma co-management, and binocular vision training. His strength lies in vision enhancement and vision correction with the help of specialty lenses, soft lenses, RGP lenses, and scleral ophthalmic lenses. Dr. Kang recently moved to Maine with his wife and their newborn baby. He would love to be introduced to local attractions.
